I agree that there is nothing you and I can do……
My concerns stem from a lack of faith in our political and military leadership. I lived in Moscow as a kid. My dad was on the SALT negotiating team and was the executive director of ACDA (Arms Control Disarmament Agency). I’ve seen Russia and I’ve heard endlessly from my dad on the topic of Russia. My advice (not that anyone would ask for it) is keep lines of communications open and try really hard to negotiate a resolution. If you have to give Putin something, so be it. We should not put boots on the ground in Ukraine or set up a no fly zone. Frankly we also should not be a third party conduit of fighter jets either. If Ukraine is required to make concessions, that should be something that is on the table. We have to give Putin an off ramp. Just my opinion.
